August 22, 1940 – January 5, 2013

SAVANNAH - Barbara Wall died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah following a brief illness. The funeral service will be held at Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service. A private interment will be held at Stephens Memorial Gardens at a later date.

She was a native of Stephens County and a resident of Savannah for over 40 years. She was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church and served on the board of the Presbyterian Homes. Mrs. Wall maintained memberships at the Savannah Yacht Club, the Chatham Club and the Oglethorpe Club. Her involvement with the Savannah community included the Huntingdon Women's Guild, March of Dimes of Savannah, and the Savannah Widows Society.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Rhodes Wall, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Dan Mathews.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney Rhodes Wall II, Savannah, Daniel Mathews Wall, Nashville, TN and David Spearman Wall, Decatur, GA; a sister, Martha Hunt, Toccoa, GA.; granddaughters, Ann Blakely Wall, Savannah, and Hannah Marie Wall, Decatur, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Remembrances: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Independent Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 9266, Savannah, Georgia 31412.
